The Checklist for answered prayer 1-5

      If your prayers aren’t being answered, here’s a checklist for understanding why;

1. God answers Prayer

  • “Ask and it shall be given to you…” Matt. 7:7
  • “If you believe, you shall receive whatever you ask for in prayer”  Matt.21:22
  • “I will do whatever you ask in my Name” Jn.14:13
  • “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” Jn.14:14
  • “Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” Jn.15:7
  • “Whatever you ask in my Name the Father will give you” Jn.15:16
  • “My Father will give you whatever you ask in my Name” Jn. 16:23
  • “Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”Jn.16:24
  • “And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him”  1Jn. 3:22
  • “Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” Mk.11:24
  • “Whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of Him”  1Jn. 5:15
  • “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them…”  Matt. 18:19

These passages are isolated for emphasis so the message is compellingly clear. This is the first and most vital truth in the checklist for answered prayer;

Answers to our prayers require certainty that our prayers will be answered!

There are three answers to prayer

  • Yes,
  • No,
  • Not now

Answers to prayer require knowledge, “my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”  Hos.4:6 KJV

3. Answers to Prayer involve God’s timing

  • Abraham waited 25 years, Israel waited 400, Moses was 40 years in the dessert, Christ came in the “fullness of time,”
  • The answer to your prayer is right on schedule
  • Leave the “when” to God

Answers to prayer require patience

4. Answers to prayer involve God’s Ways

  • Ishmael was not God’s Way, Moses tried killing an Egyptian, Peter cut off an ear
  • Leave the “how” to God.

Answers to Prayer require understanding God’s Ways. “He made known His ways to Moses, His deeds to the people of Israel.” Ps.103:7

5. Answers to Prayer involve “On the way Delays

  • Daniel’s answer was on the way, but its messenger was resisted. Dan.10:13
  • Delay is not denial

Answers to Prayer require spiritual Warfare (fasting and prayer)
