A Checklist for answered prayer 11-16

      If your prayers aren’t being answered, here’s another part of the checklist for understanding why;

11. Answers to prayer are received in prayer

  • Mk.11:24, “whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” NIV

Answers to prayer are intimate transactions involving our requests and God’s answers to those requests that occur while worshipping Him.

12. Answers to prayer involves “Praying

  • There is a difference between praying and “saying prayers”
  • Worship, (incense) Rev.5:8 “Each one had… golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.”
  • Prayers are “Throne room exchanges” Heb.4:16 “let us therefore come boldly to the Throne… that we may obtain …and find “
  • Psalms are the keyhole into a man’s prayer closet so we can observe what prayer is

Answers to prayer involves intimacy with God

13. Answers to prayer involves Praying in The Spirit

  • We don’t know what to pray
  • We don’t know how to pray

“We know not what we should pray for as we ought

but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

And He that searches the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit;

because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God”  Rom.8:26-7 KJV

  • We can know what to pray
  • We can know how to pray
  • Prayer in The Spirit is perfect prayer

Answers to prayer requires guidance from The Holy Spirit

14. Answers to Prayer involves the will of God

“if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us -whatever we ask- we know that we have what we asked of Him.”  1Jn.5:14-15 NIV

  • Asking “amiss that you may consume it on your lusts” Jms.1:5

Answers to prayer are according to God’s will, not ours

15. Answers to prayer involves praying in The Name of Jesus

  • Vs begging,  bargaining, bribing, flowery wording, flattery, promising,  “God, if you’ll do this, then I’ll…”
  • Vs temper tantrums, extortions, threats, “God, if you don’t do this, then I’ll …”
  • Vs vows, sacrifices, repetitions, merit, vigils, pilgrimages, attempts to appease, please and satisfy God into responsiveness
  • His Holy name is the only plea we have and the only plea we need
  • whatsoever you shall ask of the Father in my Name, He will give it to you.”  Jn.15:16

Answers to Prayer are a manifestation of God’s delight with His darling Son
