If your prayers aren’t being answered, here’s another portion of the checklist for understanding why;
16. Answers to prayer can be lost
- Receiving the answer vs maintaining the answer
- Abraham “be followers of those who through faith and patient endurance are inheriting the promises ” Heb.6:12 YLT
- Praise and thanksgiving in addition to asking
- The ten lepers healed “as they went ,” Lk.17:14-19 KJV,
Answers to prayers require endurance
17. Answers to prayer involve frustration
- Importunate widow’s continuous appeal, Lk.18:1-8
- Matt 7:7 ask, seek, knock (GK present continuous tense)
- Never give up
Answers to prayer require persistence
18. Answers to prayer involve discouragement
- David’s documented ups and downs
- Emotions are the energy for prayer, every one of them. “Get them out! ” “Get them to God!”
- God can handle your real feelings, He’s waiting for them.
- The Psalms give wings to our feelings converting them into prayers.
- Discouragement can abort answers to prayer
- The Holy Ghost is “The Comforter ” who helps our weaknesses with “groanings which cannot be uttered “ Rom.8:26.

Answers to prayer require militants
20. Answers to prayer involve remembering
- God builds on past experiences, “from Glory to Glory,” ” from Faith to Faith,” Rom.5:1-5
- “Beware lest you forget God “ Deut.8:11
- “And you have forgotten…” Heb.12:5
- Keep a personal diary of past “come throughs”
