A Checklist for answered prayer 26-30
If your prayers aren’t being answered, here’s another part of the checklist for understanding why;
26. Answers to prayer avoid Human projections on God
- “God is not a man that He should lie” Num.23:19, God cannot lie,
- God’s not asleep, deaf, blind, busy, Elijah Mockery of idols 1Kgs.18:27
- GK pantheon, human gods (small “g”)
- Religious concepts of God. rosary, penance, priests, candles, sacrifices, indulgences, lent etc.
- “don’t you care if we drown ?” Mk.4:38 NIV, questioning if God cares
- “Job did not sin or charge God foolishly” Job.1::22 KJV
Answers to prayer require good Theology
27. Answers to prayer involve God’s mercy
- Mercy vs merit, Tax Collector and the Pharisee Lk.18:9-14, “God have mercy on me, a sinner ,” was heard
- “Let us therefore come…that we may obtain mercy…” Heb.4:16
- “God resists the proud but gives…to the humble” 1Pet.5:5-6 KJV
Answers to prayer require humbleness of mind
28. Answers to Prayer are conditional
- Ask, “ask and it shall be given unto you” Matt. 7:7
- Believe, “all things whatsoever you shall ask in prayer believing “ Matt.21:22
- Forgive, “and when you stand praying, forgive” Mk.11:25
- Jesus Name, “if you shall ask anything in my Name, I will do it “ Jn.14:14
- Abide “if you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you” Jn.15:7
- Please “and receive from Him anything we ask, because we keep His commands and do what pleases Him.” 1Jn,3:22 NIV
- Fervency “the effectual fervent prayer…avails much” Jms. 5:16 KJV
- Righteousness “the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective ” Jms. 5:16 NIV
Answers to prayer require conditions
29. When you don’t understand, ask!
- God knows why, ask Him
- By faith we understand, Heb.11:3
- Wisdom is; seeing from God’s point of view
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt “ Jms.1:5-6 NIV
Answers to prayer require God’s wisdom
30. When the answer is no, trust Him!
- Never park on a disappointment, move on!
- Don’t place a question mark (?), where God has placed a period (.).
- Trust is related to God’s character vs circumstances,

When you can’t believe, Trust!

“Trust in The Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.” Pro.3:5 NIV
