God’s Love
Why does God love me? It is not a question of why.
He can’t love us more and He can never love us less. His love is unconditional.
It’s because, God is love.
Love is not something He has, it’s not something He does,
Love is what He is.
We cannot do anything to get His love, and we can never lose His love for us.
We can’t change His love or make Him love us any differently.
If there is one thing that’s guaranteed, it’s God’s love.
God’s love is absolute, without degree. He doesn’t love us a lot, or very much,
He loves us totally.
He loves us one hundred percent, all the time.
His Love doesn’t depend on us.
It has nothing to do with us as far as deserving it, earning it or qualifying for it.
It’s not a fifty-fifty arrangement.
Even if it’s not returned at all, He still loves us, just as much.
He loves us if we don’t do our part,
even if we break our vows to Him, or break His laws.
He loves us if we hate Him.
He would love us if we murdered His only begotten Son.
Whether we love Him or not, His love for us is the same, always.
God’s love never ends. His love for us will never change. It cannot change.
For God’s love to change, He would have to change,
and God does not change.
Love is not a question of why or a matter of reason, if it were, there would be reasons to not love us.
I tend to imagine those reasons.
Love has its reasons, that reason does not know.
