What’s your answer?
Mrs. Billy Graham was once asked, “are you a Christian?” The challenge came while she was touring the middle east where Judaism, Islam and Christianity are awash in historic conflict and confusion. As a high profile example to the world, her response was crucially important. Her answer was unmistakably clear and useful for all confronting the question. She simply said, “Yes, I believe that Christ rose from the dead.”
Profession of faith in Christ’s Resurrection has always been the defining feature of “Christianity.” It summarizes the Christian faith. In other words, believing that Christ rose from the dead is what it means to be a Christian.
This unique feature is what distinguishes Christian Faith from all religions and impacts all issues of life. More importantly it is what determines all eternal destiny.
